Pikes Peak

Pike's Peak may be the most underrated backcountry skiing location in Colorado. When the summit road opens up in spring, there is unbeatable access with unbeatable terrain. The views are great, and so is the weather and corn snow. The chutes depicted are named The Three Little Pigs. The one on the right has two cliffs in it, is as narrow as a ski in the top, and is rarely ever skied. There are many other easier options too. April-May is the time to do it.
Here's a link to a video Peter Hudnut and I made our last year of college. Footage is from all over the rockies, from Taos to Bridger, and some from NZ. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8470300724379947751
At some point I want to get the video for the 3 pigs on this site.
