The Pyramid

Rendevous Peak, looking forward to the 5,000 foot run this spring

The Run of the Bowls

No Name and Cody Peak

After another great day of exploring the chutes in the Snow King OB, Peter Hudnut and I decided to go shoot the chutes on the north face of the Pyramid since the avalanche danger had been at moderate for the past few days, and the north facing snow ought ot still be good after all the recent sunshine. But when we got in for a closer look, the snow was too slabby to ski and we took a different route, one less dangerous but full of tight chutes and pillows. Some of the best technical skiing of the season. The views from the summit were spectacular, and it was nice to take advantage of a bluebird day and come home with red faces.
