Mount Pilchuck

Mount Pilchuck
We heard the road was plowed most of the way up on April 1st and decided to have a go at it. By the end of the day, we decided it would be a much more worthy objective if you could drive to the parking lot near the top instead of skin for miles to get there, then have the road melt out on your descent and have to walk those miles instead of ski downhill. Corn snow would be preferred to the mash potatoes we encountered, that was setting loose on steep slopes. But the scenery is incredible, and we wished we wore shorts it was so hot out.

The Three Fingers across the valley made us drool. Access is tough.
These photos are all by Braden Burkholder.
